Mesothelioma drug chemist honored by the American Chemical Society


Edward Taylor is a chemist at Princeton University, whose discoveries lead through the development of Alimta, chemotherapy drugs, which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of mesothelioma. Taylor was recently introduced in New Jersey Inventors Hall of Fame. He also decided to get the American Chemical Society (ACS) 2010 Alfred Burger Award for pharmaceutical chemicals, and is inserted into consideration the ACS Department of Medicinal Chemistry Hall of Fame this year. He praised Princeton Celebrate Invention reception Foundation December 18.

In addition to his latest awards, Taylor also received the ACS Heroes Prize in Chemistry, International Society of Heterocyclic Chemistry Heterocyclic Chemistry Senior Award and the Research and Development Council of New Jersey Thomas Alva Edison patent award for invention .
